EAST CENTRAL IOWA: Planting last 7 acres of corn(1st time). Corn in immediate area is 90 % done,beans 40% (my best guess). 40 miles south (by quad cities) it sound like it may be kind of a mess. 5-8 inches of rain over a week ago,along with cool temps have messed up a lot of corn. A lot of those guys just got back into the fields a couple of days ago(they haven't planted since April 27th). 10 days ago we wanted the rain to stop and now we will be praying for a rain in a couple of days(gotta love mother nature).
