The live cattle market closed sharply higher on the session and pushed to the highest level since May 2 as traders see higher beef on the week and a more positive demand tilt as reasons to expect higher trade in the cash market this week, the CME said.
August hogs closed sharply higher on the session and traded limit-up into the mid-session before closing just slightly off of the highs, the CME said.
