Market Calls
CORN: Corn futures are called 6 to 9 cents lower this morning, following the overnight trade on Globex, Brugler Marketing said.
SOYBEANS: Soybeans are called 8 to 10 cents lower this morning, Brugler Marketing said.
HOGS: Several contracts were limit down on Friday, Brugler Marketing said. The April contract is coming closer to the Lean Hog Index which settled at 82.44 on April 11th. April expires today. Cash hogs in IA/MN were $1.14 higher on Friday, WCB hogs were $0.81 higher and ECB hogs were $0.63 lower. Cash hog calls are 50 cents lower.
CATTLE: Nearby April was up $2.20 for last week, Brugler Marketing said. Futures remain below cash. There were no delivery notices vs. April futures. The oldest long is December 14. Some $122 clean up sales were reported in the cash market on Friday. Asking prices for this week are expected to start out around $124 in the south and $200 in the north.

China buying rumors support corn markets
The corn market found support from outside market forces and from ideas that China will be an active buyer of US corn if there is a significant break, the CME Group said in its Thursday morning report. Rumors of China buying a few cargoes of US corn helped to support the market yesterday. Buying corn seems to pencil in for China feeders given the high corn values in China.

Frye Cattle: 24 Days: Just finished calving a group of recips and 24 days was the spread from the first calf born to the last calf born from the same mating. All eggs were put in fresh the same day. There were 6 calves born all were unassisted, with the last calf being born 14 days over the due date.
